Trainings
The generation of high quality laboratory data depends on the accuracy of all the measuring equipment in use to provide the data. The continued production of high quality test data requires an effective calibration system in place.
The operation of this system is the responsibility of all staff, and not merely the Calibration Officer or the calibration service. All have a part to play.
Ensuring that the measuring equipment is capable of the performance required of it is a first stage (equipment validation). Having access to properly maintained reference standards is essential, as is the know how and the procedures to maintain and check the calibration of equipment.
This course addresses the calibration requirements of EN ISO/IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories) and of the various good laboratory practice programmes. It examines the ‘what’ and ‘how’ of calibration in the laboratory in the context of the ‘why’.
